Time again for Sew Early For Christmas! This month I’ve picked some great table toppers to sew for Christmas… because I love table toppers 🙂
Hexagon Table Topper
First up is this gorgeous Hexagon Table Topper made by the lovely Carole of From My Carolina Home!
I was hoping to make one of these before I came to Arabia last week, but alas, I didn’t get the time… I’ll have to give it a go when I get back to Oz! The tutorial is really clear and it looks like a quick and easy make, so go check it out here!
Batik Table Topper
I came across this super quick and easy table topper from Connie from Freemotion by the River:
I love how the colors Connie used make it look perfect for an outdoor setting… she used batiks, but of course you can use any fabric, even some pretty Christmas ones… check out the tutorial here!
Christmas Wreath Table Topper
Ok, I cheated a little with this one… the tutorial is by my sweet friend Susan from Super Mom No Cape and it is actually a tutorial for a cushion…. but I turned it into a table topper:
I also changed it up a bit by using 2 1/2″ squares for the wreath, rather than the one fabric that Susan did in the original. I really like how it turned out, and I found this cute candle holder at Ikea a few days ago that matches it perfectly!
Check out Susan’s tutorial here – you can make a table topper or a cushion cover 🙂
Strings Table Topper
No actual tutorial for this one, but it is really simple to make and an all time favorite of mine:
It’s just 16 strings blocks sewn together, a white border, and some colorful binding… easy peasy! And it uses up scraps so it is “almost free” 🙂
Star Table Topper
Of course I have to include the Star Table Topper in this post because it is so quick and easy:
Another Hexagon Table Topper
And last but not least, my latest tutorial style pattern of the Hexagon Table Topper made by machine with no Y seams:
One of the lovely ladies in our At Home With Joy Facebook group made it using the ornament stitcheries from Christmas in July:
Isn’t it pretty?
Talking about stitcheries… I have finished the next set of Christmas Ornaments…. I’ll be posting them in a few days, but just wanted to give you all a heads up on a freebie that I’ll be posting in the Facebook Group and sending out with my newsletter this weekend….. it’s this cutie:
So make sure you join the Facebook Group or sign up for my newsletter below to get this sweet freebie!
Well, I hope I’ve given you some table topper inspiration and hope you get a chance to make some of the quick and easy ones I’ve featured today!
Some great inspiration – thank you! I love the batik version and can ‘see’ it done in a longer format as a runner. Hmmm……pondering………..
Hi Joy! What eye candy you have given us to enjoy and make! I am still working on the kleenex box cover. haha I am using a simpler pattern but still taking me awhile. Looking forward to the free kitty ornament. Hope I don’t miss it. I have a friend in another state who likes cats so would like to make her a Christmas ornament from it. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy your time with hubby! Nancy
The quick and easy bit is really enticing Joy! Thank you for the ideas 🙂 Enjoy your time in Arabia!
