I promised more photos of Nora’s shop, this time of some of the lovely wall hangings and quilts she has displayed..
When you walk in the front door you see these wall hangings, a beautiful cross stitch embroidery, and lots of quilts in the background:
It makes a kind of divider as soon as you walk in, and this is probably the best photo I have of the quilts that are hung high up around the shop!
I did take a closer pic of this one… some of the sayings were quite funny…
And now I think I’ll just post the rest of the photos here for your viewing pleasure, without any words… because they speak for themselves 🙂
Last, but not least, this gorgeous quilt that Nora was running as a block of the week… and she gave me a kit!! I think it uses some Accuquilt dies (affiliate link)… so I will have to see if I have them at home or whether I need to buy them 🙂
It’s almost like a quilt show or gallery in the shop! And there are so many of the big quilts that were hung up high on the walls that I didn’t take a photo of…. well there is always next time I hope 🙂
Out of all these wall hangings and quilts, I think my favorite is the Sunbonnet Sue hanging up the washing… 🙂 Don’t know why, but it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy!
If you had to choose, which would be your favorite?
I have to agree with you on the favorite … I’ve been working on a Sunbonnet Sue but I really like the 3-D one showed. Hmmm … time to rethink. I’ve had that (and another) Maxine fabric for years. I usually use it on schlep bags but .,…. Thank you for sharing.
Forgot. where is this shop and what is its name?
Looks like a great destination for a road trip!
As I was going through these photos–I did stop at the Sunbonnet sue hanging up the laundry–then went on and couldn’t believe your question at the end–I did go back through them and I do have to say that is my #1 one–but I also did like the blue vase one as a second favorite one!
luv, di
Hi Joy! I have to agree with you about the Sunbonnet Sue as your favorite. I do also like the Home Sweet Home piece as well. ~smile~ Roseanne
Ah, Sunbonnet Sue! A quilt I made for my first granddaughter who had two grandmothers with the name Susan. Quite a few took my fancy & the last photo is a striking sampler. See you soon. Take care & safe travels.
Lovely to go into a shop and it’s like a quilt display… but with fabric to buy too!! I think my favourite was the birds in the branches…

Lovely shop. My fav is the one just above with the scalloped edge. X
