Oh my, I feel like I have been on a rollercoaster these past 3 or 4 or 5 months… things have been so hectic and I have missed being online with all of you…
Nearly every day over the past few months I have thought when I woke up- I need to blog today.. and then somehow the day disappeared….
Now with all that has been going on we have suddenly come to a halt and I am feeling myself slowly start to relax……
DS came back a month ago after visiting DH in Arabia. It was so nice for DD to have the company, but we had to cut the trip short and when he came home go into two weeks of Self-Isolation….
I was supposed to go to Arabia at the end of March, but of course that didn’t happen.
When we got out of our two weeks of isolation, the rest of Australia had been given the #stayhome order… so for those who are counting, we are now on Day 33 of lockdown….
What have I been doing?
Before Lockdown:
(in no particular order)
DD’s friend came to visit us from Finland, and we went on an all girl’s road trip up to NSW to visit other friends of hers…. we had a lovely time, and visited a few quilt shops that I need to tell you about still.
When we got back from NSW we dumped most things in my sewing room….
I really don’t know why my sewing room is the dumping room….
While we were gone I think “someone or something” had been climbing up my design wall:
At the beginning of Feb, before our road trip, I managed to clear Emmie G and do a customer quilt:
Above is proof that my sewing room is not always a mess!!
While we were away on our road trip, I made up the pattern for these Tea For Two teabag wallets which will go up in our shop soon:
I also managed to catch up with some Crafty friends before we went into isolation, and just had to show you this cute bag my friend made:
Well that’s a “before lockdown” summary… some of these will become posts of their own when I get a chance… and in a few days I’ll try my best to post Coming up for Air Part 2 – ‘During Lockdown…
Oh, I am also working on a free stitchalong, but that is going sloooowly too….
I truly hope you are all doing ok and coping with all that is happening in the world at the moment. Stay safe!
It has been a turn of event for all of us. I haven’t done much sewing but am knitting and painting right now! Nice to hear from you!
Good to hear from you again. That bag your friend made is super cute as are the teabag wallets.
So glad to hear from you again! Cute bag!
I have been wondering how you all are and so many times going to email but life seems to be flying past even though we are in lock down. Pleased to hear you are all well. Xx 🌺
Good to see you back in blogland & also great to talk today. Look forward to your next instalment. That bag is very nice and I know the sewing room can be so much tidier when we’ve visited. Take care, stay safe and huggles.
Sounds like you’ve been busy! So sorry that your trip to see your DH has been postponed but I guess it’s better to stay home and be safe. Love that bag!
Hi Joy, I am glad to read you are well and okay. I was wondering. I am behind like a cow’s tail as the saying goes. I have been my little bit of energy taking care of my seedlings and planting. I love the tea bag wallets you shared and hope to make some of those. Thanks for sharing. Nancy
