Step 8 in our Scrappy Mystery Quilt-a-long won’t take you long, so there’s also time for you to catch up this weekend before we look at borders on Monday…
Do you have a nice pile of 12 scrappy blocks like I do?
Today’s step is simply to sew them together…
They are big blocks – 14 1/2″ unfinished, and I could only fit four on my design wall;
You get a bit of a idea of what it is going to look like…
I don’t think any instructions are needed for this step…just go sew 🙂
In other news…
My stove/oven is out of order… and living in a rental, we need to wait until the owner approves of quotes, etc, before it will get fixed. Makes me wish we were in our own house, but such is life.
In the meantime, I am cooking in the microwave, with my new Tupperware pressure cooker and Micro Urban (steamer)…
I might have to share some of my microwave experiments with you as I try to be creative! I am also thinking the pie maker will be dragged out of the cupboard, and other gadgets that I don’t use as often….
Have a great weekend and sew lots!!!
(I’ll try to get the linky up on Monday, our last day of the QAL)
It’s been a good time with the QAL–I am piecing blocks this morning! Beautiful!
Whoops! I’m a bit behind, but may try & catch up over the weekend. My sewingroom at the back of the house is cold & although the new wood heater keeps us toasty at the front, it just doesn’t seem to reach to all corners. Take care & hugs.
Well that’s fun! Without borders, then, this is 42 x 56? It’s a great quilt plan! Thanks so much for working this out and running it this month. I’m still behind, but I will catch up and finish a couple of weeks behind you. =)
In almost keeping up and hope to be caught up before Monday. It’s been a busy week.
Good job being creative without an oven!
Really love the look of the mystery! So sorry your oven is giving you grief and I can certainly feel for you over the sometimes interesting aspects of living in a rental. Hopefully you will get a new one soon!
While Zooming with Judy and fellow quilters yesterday I admitted a Woopsie in each block. I’ll call this block Personal Choice 😉

I have made one block and love it
