Welcome to Day 4 of the Fairy Tales Blog Hop hosted by the lovely Joan from Moosestash Quilting!
Joan asked us to share what our Fairy Tale was….. so here is mine…
Once upon a time… (that’s how all good fairy tales start), there was a quilter who lived in a castle in the Australian countryside, with a beautiful quilting studio that her father built for her….
She loved her studio so much, and made lots of UFOs in it…. until one day she decided to travel the world.. and had to leave behind her beautiful quilting studio….
As the quilter traveled the world, she had many lovely sewing corners and sewing rooms, but none were as beautiful or magnificent as her quilting studio in her castle….
During her overseas adventures she would fondly remember how she quilted in her studio, and leaned out of her tower window to talk to the birds in between working on quilts…
She dreamed of going home, back to her beautiful quilting studio….
Then one day, the quilter had some wonderful news! She was going home! Home to her beautiful castle in the country… and her magnificent quilting studio!
She packed all of her belongings and went home…..
And she lived happily ever after………. (that’s how all good fairy tales end)
THE END
So there you go…. that is my Fairy Tale.. to go home to my studio…
………..and yesterday we heard that the family that is currently renting our house (ok, so it’s not really a castle!) has found another house to rent and we can go home!!!
I’m so excited and now need to start packing 🙂 This will be our 29th move in 29 years of marriage… but now we are going to live happily ever after there… right?!
I didn’t actually manage to get my project done, but I posted anyway… it will be a lovely little wall hanging to go in my studio 🙂 I can’t wait!!
When I am finished with the wall hanging, I will put the pattern up for sale in my Etsy shop, so if you like it, subscribe to my newsletter to get notified when it is done!
Tomorrow I will be posting the last block in our Sewcial QAL, so check back then!
And if you are new to my blog, have a look at this year’s Let’s Stay Home BOM and my tutorials for quick and easy projects!
Thank you Joan for hosting this super fun blog hop!

Love the sneak peek of this sweet block. Your fairy tale is wonderful and I love that it has a happy ending. Take care packing up but then it sounds like you’ve had a lot of practice. Wishing you the best in the upcoming chapter of your fairy tale.
My 3 moves were a misery–I can’t even imagine!!! lol
I am so glad you are heading back to your castle–that is how I feel about my home now.

Lucky you to get to go home. I like your embroidery and know it will look great once it’s finished..
29 moves in 29 years… Oh my goodness, no wonder you are jumping for…wait for it…Joy! Sorry about that sad pun! LOL!! Seriously though, I love your stitching and I’m so happy that you get to go back to the studio and “castle” you love. I wish you many many happy years there.
Such a cute quilting princess! I hope that your move goes smoothly, and you quilt happily every after.
That has wonderful blocks, a great fairy tale, and a happy ending for you! Yay, on getting your home back!
What a fun story! I’m so glad your wish is coming true! It really is a fairy tale in real life!! What a happy ending!
Cute stitchery design! I love a good Fairy Tale and happy that yours is coming true. Can’t imagine moving 29 times in 29 years. I have only moved once in my lifetime, from my home as a child to the one I now live in with hubby. Not quite 50 years there.
Oh, Joy, what a sweet fairy tale that will be coming true for you soon. Yay! Moving twice last year did me in, so I can’t imagine moving as many times as you have. I love your beautiful embroidery piece…thank you for sharing!
So lovely! I do hope this is your final move and your home will be a forever home! Every queen needs her castle, no matter what size or shape. We’ve moved only once in 38 years of marriage and that move was huge to us, even though it was only 2 blocks away!
That is a wonderful fairytale. I wish you the best
This is just the best fairy tale with such a joyful (had to do it 😉) happy ending to an interesting adventure. Enjoy finishing that sweet piece in between packing and moving. We will enjoy seeing her hanging in her new to her castle. Enjoy going home. So happy for you.
We all love a happy ending!! How wonderful and no worries about finishing your project…it’s the story that made it superb anyways!!
