Wow, we are on the last block in our little Sewcial Quiltalong! Didn’t that go by quickly?!
This Quiltalong is based on the Sewcialites Quiltalong hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop! (affiliate link). We will only be making four blocks this month, and then turning them into a wall hanging….

I finished block 3, but I did something wrong…..
I will blame it on cutting and sewing too late at night 🙂 I decided to leave it as it was, it can be my humility block… and one day when I do an entire quilt with this block, I will work out what my mistake was.
Nancy, however, made two perfect sewing machines:
SEWCIAL QUILTALONG BLOCKS 1 – 3
So here are all three of my Sewcial Quiltalong blocks…
SEWCIAL QUILTALONG BLOCK 4
The fourth block I have chosen is Block #18 – Hearty, by Corey Yoder. I love hearts, so we had to have one in this quiltalong!
This is the most advanced block, but I think it will be quite manageable…. as long as I cut everything out right!
I’ve decided to do it all pink except for the heart – I’m making that blue.

Putting the Sewcial Quiltalong Blocks Together
As I said at the beginning of this QAL, I won’t be giving any instructions on how to put them together into a wall hanging. I’m leaving that up to you, and am looking forward to lots of different combinations!
My thoughts so far are…
- I could put sashing and cornerstones between them… quick and easy
- I could put them on point… also ending up as a square wall hanging
- Or, I could make them into a long skinny one by putting them all into one column…..
Let’s see!
If you wanted to make it bigger and turn it into a quilt, you can pick from any of the other sewcialites blocks – there are 36 of them!
Thank you to all of you who joined in on this short but hopefully sweet QAL!
Next month is July…. and you know what that means don’t you????
I love these blocks and have downloaded all 36! Maybe ONE DAY, I’ll get around to stitching some of them! LOL But at least I have them!!
Thanks, I’ll download later. I cant see your mistake. I made a beauty on my first poppy block, but it’s been unpicked ready to sew again. Your blocks are going to make a very pretty wall hanging. Take care & hugs.
got it and I will be putting them together for a table runner instead of a wall hanging this week! Fun. thanks.
(you might want to mark this as block #4 in your post not 3 again!)
I can’t see the mistake either so it obviously can’t be very noticeable! The sewing machine block is very cute and would make a nice wall hanging on its own.
