Happy July! I had all sorts of grand plans for this month…. but since we are moving house, I am going to have to tone them down… but only a little bit 🙂
We move home in two and a half weeks… and I am so excited! I have divided up the house into sections, and will tackle a few areas every day between now and moving day… after 29 moves, this is the way it works best for me….
The things I don’t use every day, I am going to pack first… I’ve got the boxes out, and will use one of the empty rooms (handy that the boys already moved out!) to stack them in.
Once we get all our stuff moved from this house to our home, I will still have a lot of unpacking to do, because when we left five years ago, we packed all of our stuff (including most of my stash and sewing things) in a shipping container on our property, to store until we got home.
I am going to try hard to resist unpacking the container until I’ve at least unpacked the things from this house….. but once that is done, you can be sure I’ll be hauling boxes out of storage to see what is in them… It’s going to be like Christmas!!!
And speaking of Christmas… it’s time for Christmas in July!
If you know me, I will use any excuse to think about, plan for, sew for, and shop for Christmas… and sing Christmas songs, much to the annoyance of my children…
So starting next Monday, we will be having some early Christmas fun…
There will be some sewing, stitching and planning going on… and I hope you will be joining in!
There’s also a sale on everything in our shop:
So if you’ve missed any blocks from our “Let’s Stay Home” BOM, now is the time to grab them!
Until our fun starts next week… check out these Christmas tutorials (just click on the pictures):

See you on Monday!
Wow, Joy – 29 moves!! Sounds like my hubby. His dad was military, then retired and went into the ministry. He went to 10 different schools before he graduated as the church, back then, would move the pastors every year or two. But, he knows how to pack a box and truck! LOL I bet you do too!! I loved seeing all your Christmas projects!
goodluck with all the packing and then unpacking………yes it will be like christmas finding what you packed away 5 years ago……….
Good luck with the move. Hugs, xx
Good luck & yell if you need help. Look forward to seeing what you come up with for the Xmas in July. Take care & hugs.
Oh my gosh I don’t think you slow down ever… moving and still sewing and hosting things!!!
Happy moving…. I do it like you do… pack the least used and move into an empty room….
Hugz
Oh wow! That sounds pretty exciting once the move is done. Love Christmas goodies 🙂
It is finally getting real close!! How exciting to be packing up and moving for the last time (?) for you! What fun to settle in again! And to think about the container haul–wow! It will be like seeing old friends!
Unpacking that storage container will indeed be much like Christmas I’m sure – and I’m also sure you’ll discover a number of things you wonder why you kept.
Such fun, but a lot of work, too. Wish I could come help!
