I’ve had quite a few questions on how my unpacking is going… so I thought I’d give you an update and a look at my temporary sewing room!
I am making slow progress with unpacking…. My studio has gone from this:
to this:
I have made a small dent!
Some things I’ve just unpacked and dumped on shelves to sort out later…
Other stuff needs to wait until we get more shelves in from storage… But I feel like I have made a bit of progress.
I am hoping that DH and I will get Emmie G set up on the weekend, and then my studio will really start to look like a studio!
For now I decided to take over the purple room… (used to be DD’s). Long term it will be my office, and I’ll probably still have one sewing machine set up there for days it is too hot or cold to go out to my studio.
Here is my “office” part of the room:
And I have set up Nina at the other end:
More boxes to unpack… bookshelves to fill…. but I at least have a spot to work on finishing the Mystery Quilt top… and some other things…
I’ll be back tomorrow!
It is coming along, Joy!! I love the purple room, so bright and cheery in there!
It all takes time but you will g\et there in the end! Great that you’ve got some workable areas already 🙂
Well done so far & can’t wait to come across, when we can. Trying to remember which room you are using………glad you are home. Take care & hugs.
Nice work on your unpacking–it sure does take time! I’m glad you have carved out some space to sew even if it is in your office!
Great Job! It is going to be Wonderful when you are done.
Hi Joy!
Looks like a lovely place to sew. Love the window. My sewing area is in basement. No natural light. Wish I could have a designated room with a window. Where did you move to? I see you move a lot, is it for hubby’s business?
Bet you can’t wait to sew.
Hugs,
Debbie
Progress has been made… glad you can get soem sewing time in amongst it all…. So you went back to your old house… I didn’t realise…
Hugz
It was fun to peek inside your space! You’ll get there with the organization….just take your time and give some thought as to how best to set it up so you don’t end up having to redo it.
Unpacking seems to take forever if you actually own anything.
