Well, to start of with, I’ve been under the weather for the past 10 days with some sort of bug… not the dreaded ‘rona.. but something else I must have picked up who knows where, because I only leave the house on occasion to get groceries!
That kind of put a halt on the unpacking of our stuff in storage… so I feel like I am behind with all of that….
Yesterday was the first day I felt like my old self and I got a lot of housework catchup done.. not fun, but these things are necessary every now and then 🙂
My sewing room is still inside because I have been using my studio to sort things.. and I haven’t found the bookshelves yet in the container, so I can’t unpack any more things until I get something to unpack them into!!
I decided to join in on Wedding Dress Blue’s Two and Four Quiltalong.… needless to say, I am still on step one, while many others have finished their top already, haha!
What I have been doing is trying to take 10 minutes everyday to do a bit of chain piecing….
Under Sapphy’s supervision of course.
And if I am not sewing, she tries to….
Without much success…
So, things are plodding along here…
How are things going in your corner of the world?
Glad you are feeling better, Joy! I was sick the first three weeks of September – not fun! You will get everything unpacked in it’s time! You and Sapphy just enjoy your stitching time each day. She looks like a great helper! I had one that loved to sit and watch my machine – usually laying across my arms as I tried to sew! LOL
Hi Joy! I am still on step 1 of the Two by Four QAL. We have all the lights cut out and one of the 10 dark fabrics cut . . . so I actually sewed a few 2-by-2s together. I’m sorry you’ve been under the weather and glad to hear that you were able to shake it. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Hope you are feeling better! Bummer to not be ourselves when we have so much to accomplish! Pretty Kitty! Hugs
Glad you are feeling better Joy. Nice to see Sapphy helping you with your sew along. 🙂 I had one of those helpers yesterday testing out my table runner for comfort while i chose which fabrics i wanted to fill in the ends. Hugs, xx
Sorry to hear you haven’t been well….. but glad you are feelign better….. always good if you can sneak in a bit of sewing each day….
Hugz
I’m sorry you’ve been sick, but glad you are better now. I’m not much ahead of you and two and four, and I have no cat to help.
It’s hard when you get ‘struck’ with a bug. Glad you are feeling better and back at the sewing machine! (and Saphie, too!)
So sorry you succumbed to some form of grunge but glad to know you’re feeling better. They’re saying that we can expect more colds and flu this year because people are leaving home more than over the past months.
I am sorry you have been under the weather. Interesting idea for a quilt. Feel better soon. Nancy
Just caught up on your blog as I can’t get it up anymore on the old laptop. Still lots to do I see and hope you enjoy your next QAL in amongst unpacking. Take care & hugs.
Sorry to hear you’ve not been well but if you’ve been able to do housework things must be on the upper! Good on you squeezing in that 10 minutes a day, hopefully you will catch up on your unpacking and QAL soon!
