I’m so excited I managed to remember that it was FNSI last night!
FNSI is hosted by the lovely Wendy from Sugarlane Designs… and I have been attending for years.. when I remember to, that is!
Now not only did I remember to join in, I also managed to piece nine quilts!!!!!!
I was so excited…
Don’t believe me? Well… erm.. here, proof:
Ok, so we all know FNSI stands for Friday Night Stay In.. right?
Ok ,fine, so it doesn’t.. but I couldn’t help it, I got this lovely quilt shop puzzle from my sweet friend Robyn quite a while ago…. and it’s taken this long for me to take the time to sit down and put it together! (DYS actually put it together the day after I got it, lol!)
I am so enjoying doing a little bit every time I walk by the table…. as well as quilts, cute kitties keep popping up!
So did I do any sewing?
Well, other than piecing the puzzle quilts, I did watch Lori Holt’s video of the first block of her Chicken Salad Sewalong… (affiliate link) while I got all the shapes and pulled the fabric I needed:
And since it is still Friday somewhere in the world, I will keep working on both of the above projects today 🙂
Thank you Wendy for hosting Friday Night STAY In (and piece puzzle quilts)!
Make sure you check out what everyone else was up to, and you can still join in if you like!

Love the puzzle, it is piecing! Not just what we were thinking! Can’t wait to see the chicken salad, sounds delicious! Lovely fabric.
Sounds like you’ve gotten a lot done on your sew-ins! I love that puzzle!!
How fun! Sounds wonderful!
Well done on your 9 finishes…..perfect puzzle for a quilter. Pulling fabrics takes ages. Looking forward to seeing your porgress.
Fun jigsaw to do…. looking forward to watching the quilt grow…

What a fabulous jig saw puzzle! I love the hidden cats popping up – it looks like a puzzle I’d enjoy doing ……….. I’ll have to go and check out the chicken business as well as it looks rather interesting!
Looks like a fun puzzle — good to get lost in the creativity!
What a cute jigsaw puzzle. Of course there are cats, there are always cats on quilts. LOL
I like your puzzle! I haven’t done jigsaws for years but that one appeals. 🙂
I bought the templates to do Lori’s Chicken Salad quilt, too. It has to wait for a couple other projects to be finished so I’m just saving her posts/instructions for now.
🙂 Linda
Haha it was all sewing related even if not many actual stitches were made!! I love that puzzle, and drool over Lori’s fabrics for her QAL
What a fun puzzle – looking forward to your chooks!
congrats on the “9 quilts”………its a lovely puzzle……..
That’s a great puzzle! DH hasn’t started any yet this winter and I’m beginning to wonder if he will. There are several in the pile waiting for him when (if!) the spirit moves him. I like yours but I don’t think the subject matter would excite him!
