I thought I might start something new… (for me, that is)… a post at the beginning of the week with a bit of this and that….
I was thinking it could be a nice round up of last week and some plans for the next week… I know a lot of my blogging friends do that already, and I am thinking a bit of accountability might be good for me too 🙂
Last Week’s This and That
Last week I was supposed to do jury duty. So I rescheduled all appointments I had (dentist, doctor and optometrist) only to be told the day before that they had postponed it till April! I was slightly annoyed since I had rearranged my schedule, but it is what it is… Instead I had a nice clear week to keep organizing…
I spent more time in my studio sorting, took a load of stuff to the op shop, and went out for lunch with my mum! Forgot to take photos of all of that, must remember next time!
Weekend This and That
On the weekend we pottered around outside and in the shed.. I asked DH to drag out all my bags of garden odds and ends – mostly pots and garden tools – that I had not unpacked since we moved. That cleared some space in the shed too, so that was handy. I got him to dump them all on the back porch, and will take some time each evening this week to sort through them and unpack:
Ahem… I think I need to weed too 🙂
Oh, I also finished the puzzle!
Sorry about the glare, it’s blocking a kitty 🙁
I have packed it away and it will go in the camper trailer for another day… With only 300 pieces, it will be a good one to do again when we go away for a weekend. Since I enjoyed it so much, I am now hunting for another one with more pieces! Quilt themed of course 🙂
This Week’s This and That
So, what are my plans for this week?
First up, my menu plan:
Monday – BBQ & Salads
Tuesday – Butter Chicken (that DS will cook)
Wednesday – Beef Burgandy
Thursday – Leftovers (I hope!)
Friday – Chicken Chasseur (From the Freezer)
Saturday – Tuna Casserole
Sunday – Leftovers/Quick Meal/Freezer Meal
In the Sewing Room
Chookie Block 1 (still trying to decide what type of applique to do!)
Chookie Block 2 (I’m behind already!!!)
Heart Stitchery
Clear Emmie G ready to quit
Around the House and Garden
Work on Zone 4 – Master Bedroom (15 min a day)
Sort Back Porch Bags
Okey dokes, I think those are all the plans I have for this week… I need to go into town one day, but other than that I’ll be staying home and working on to do’s!
Do you want to join in?
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can… just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

Love that puzzle!!
Oops, forgot to add to the puzzle comment, if you attend link parties, I’d like to invite you to drop by and linkup at some of mine.
I had to check it out–that puzzle looks like a quilt shop I’ve been to in Utah–The Quilters Lodge!!!
Just reading everything you get done and plan to do makes me tired, lol. Love the puzzle. Any sewing/quilting puzzle for that matter. My daughter gave me one for Christmas. I haven’t gotten to it yet. Seriously, I do enjoy checking out your blog
Looks liek you have a busy week ahead…. the puzzle came out fun…. I have seen a few quilty ones around so I’m sure you will find one …
Hugz
Good to be making progress now that your week was cleared! lol
It is nice to unpack and find permanent homes for all of our equipment!
.Wow look at your plans, I’m especially drawn to the menu plans – everything looks yummy. Those are neat bags you have your garden stuff packed in, I haven’t seen any of those before. What a shame about jury duty, but how nice you got to go to lunch with your Mum.
I’m going to mark on my calendar to come back next Monday and link up with you and mention your link on my post!
Thank you for joining in on To Do Tuesday!
Joy It looks like a great list to keep you busy. Have fun organizing and sorting, cooking and sewing. Your puzzle looks like it was fun.
You are one busy lady! That puzzle is so colorful and your meals look amazing. Thank you so much for linking up at Inspire Me Monday!
Love a good puzzle and especially a quilt one.I found since I started quilting I don’t do so many puzzles because quilting itself fulfils that need of putting pieces together!
I’ve seen several bloggers that are doing something similar but I haven’t succumbed (at least not yet!!). I seem to manage to find enough to mumble about three times a week as it is. The puzzle is great and well worth repeating.
You’ve got quite a lot going! Love that puzzle!
