Welcome to Monday This and That… time to have a peak at how we went last week, and what we have planned for this week…
LAST WEEK’S THIS AND THAT
I was quite productive last week… got most of my to do list done, and made progress with my sewing…
And then Covid arrived at our house. DS started feeling sick on Wednesday, but tested negative. DH started on Friday and slept all day and night… DD started late Friday, and I was the last one standing, only starting to feel a bit icky on Saturday night… Sunday DS tested again and he was positive.
DS is the one who goes out the most, so it was to be expected that if anyone brought it home, it would be him. So now we are in isolation and will be testing for the next few days to see if the rest of us have it. I assume we do, but DH tested yesterday and came up negative. The RAT tests work a bit differently to the PCR so let’s see in the next few days what happens.
In any case, this has thrown quite a spanner in my plans! I was on such a roll…. but oh well…
On My Design Wall
My design wall is looking pretty…. with the two kitchen blocks and two chickens ready to applique:
I’ll put a post up a little later in the week with some more details of how I am doing the applique, etc.
THIS WEEK’S THIS AND THAT
In the Kitchen
One good thing about everyone being sick is that no one really feels like eating 🙂 So some things from last week’s menu didn’t happen and they can get cooked another time. This week I will try to keep it simple and use up some freezer meal preps I have.
Menu Plan:
Monday – Chicken Chasseur
Tuesday – Beef Stew
Wednesday – Leftovers
Thursday – Silverside
Friday – Roast Pork
Saturday – Leftovers
Sunday – Freezer Meal
In the Sewing Room
Work on next two SAL blocks
Work on Time in a Bottle project
In the House and Garden
Do the bare basics
And that is it from me!
Thank you to everyone who joined in last week!
Do you want to join in?
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

I’m definitely sending healing thoughts your way – for you and your family.
I’m so sorry to hear about the virus visit and hope it does not linger! Your blocks are so cute. I had not heard of “silverside” before and had to google it!
Are you still living in the Middle East? I saw that mentioned on your “About” page.
Prayers for you all, Joy. I had it in September. Hopefully this strain is easier on you all. Zinc, vitamin C, and Quercitin work wonders! Drink lots of fluids and don’t dehydrate. Off my nursing box now!! Seriously, take good care of yourselves. I love, love, love, those chicken blocks!
Sorry to hear that you are all sick with Covid. Hopefully no one is really ill and you will be better soon. Love your blocks.
Sorry to hear COVID made its way to your house! My younger son tested negative before testing positive when we all had it (I actually never tested, just figured I was in a house with 3 other people with it so most likely had some form of it though no symptoms). Hope you all feel better soon!
Stay strong and patient. We will all get thru this!
Sending hugs to all & will talk on Wednesday. Busy week with dog sitting & a couple of afternoons with minding little E next door after school. Take care & get better.
hope all ok there…. this virus is odd how it behaves.. not really like they said it would. Good to keep a low profile for a while anyway and enjoy some sewing time… take care
Hugz
Hope you all get to feel better quickly.
Those are lovely quilt blocks.
Get some rest and have a good week
Hope you are all feeling better! Thanks for joining in with To Do Tuesday. 🙂
Love the chickens!
Hope all of you have a good outcome. Just aggravates me that if Greg had caught his only a month later, things would have worked out better and I’d still have him. I slept for an entire week and had no strength to do anything including realizing what was happening to him.
the blocks are lovely and I am on catch up so I hope you are all well now and no one else got covid……..also that the water is fixed up and back on for you…….nothing worse………
