Monday again, and time to plan out my week… and check how I did last week!
LAST WEEK’S THIS AND THAT
I had a pretty productive week I think. I stayed on menu plan really well, and only swapped one meal out.
I got a lot done in the sewing room – sorting and tidying, and getting Emmie G ready to quilt with. Also got two chookies ready to applique:
Didn’t quilt Jean’s Quilt because I wanted to do a test quilt first. It’s the first time I’ve used Emmie G since we moved over 7 months ago, and didn’t want to mess up a customer quilt! So that will go back on the list this week. But all in all, I think I did reasonably well with last week’s lists.
Water Water Water….
Water pipe burst again yesterday…. this time worse than before. Still waiting to get it fixed properly, but all the plumbers are busy… not sure how we will manage this week if they don’t get here soon. We might be hauling water from someone else’s house.. at least we are not sick anymore, that is a positive 🙂
THIS WEEK’S THIS AND THAT
In the Kitchen
No water means some ready meals earlier this week, and hopefully by Thursday I’ll be able to cook again…
Menu Plan:
Just in case you are wondering… when I meal plan I do the main ingredients, usually meat of some sort, and then have salad or veg with it. Just because I don’t mention it in my meal plan doesn’t mean we don’t eat veggies 🙂 I also try to hide as many veggies in the main meal as I can 🙂
Monday – Leftovers
Tuesday – Lasagne – ready made
Wednesday – Quiche – ready made
Thursday – Tuna Casserole
Friday – Leftovers
Saturday – Beef Burgundy
Sunday – Leftovers
In the Sewing Room
Chook Blocks 5 & 6
Kitchen SAL – Canning Jars and New Block
Quilt Jean’s flimsy
In the House and Garden
Zone 5 – Sunroom – spend 15 min daily
Plant lettuce & rocket seeds
Thank you to everyone who joined in last week!

I am sorry about your water problems. That must be so hard. Glad your feeling better. Like the chicken quilt blocks. I am trying to blog again. Did a post last week and plan to do another this week cozythymecottage.blogspot.com Nancy
Your chickens re so cute! I hope to get back in the sewing room one of these days so that I have something to share. Sorry to hear the plumbing issues continue, but glad you’re no longer sick. That has to be a step in the right direction!
Arrghh what a shame about your water. Good luck with working your way through your list!
I’m so sorry about your water pipe, Joy! I hope you get it repaired soon. Yep, most veggies don’t go over with my hubby, but he will eat a select few. I am just loving those chookies!!!!
Lovely chooks….. oh dear about the water… sounds like it will be a challenging job for you to get sorted but needs to be done…
Hugz
Good to talk this morning &catch up on all the wayward happenings. As of April, I’ll try to join in on this too & take stock of what I should be doing each week. Thanks, take care and hugs.
Water problems are no fun at all. Hopefully you’ve been able to get someone there to fix it permanently. Love your chickens! Those are so fun.
Busted AGAIN! So sorry. Really do like your hens and chicks. Sooo cute.
I do hope the plumbers have arrived and could do a repair without too much fuss (and cost!).
