It’s a wintery day and I am sitting beside the fire enjoying the warmth and coziness it brings! Nothing beats a wood fire for that! I’ve got a cuppa next to me and thought I’d do a bit of a catchup post and say hi 🙂
I’ve had a lovely blog break and am ready to get back into it!
We’ve had lots happening outside… the septic finally got put in:
That made quite a mess!
Now we need to work on replacing the back fence, and putting garden beds in… it will be nice when it’s all done!
I’ve been spending time with this little guy, who now has his own quilt…
It’s a tough life for him….
Loki was the model for this month’s AccuQuilt project, a timely one since it is just freezing here at the moment!
I’ve been pottering around in the studio, moving things around (again) – do we ever stop moving things around in our sewing rooms I wonder? I’ll take some photos soon.
Last night I joined in with Cheryll and the others for Friday Night With Friends
I worked on getting this block sewn together:
and am nearly done with that.. I got distracted with a few other things 🙂
So that is a quick catchup… I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and I will see you again on Monday with Monday This and That!
Awww Loki is very cute. He looks so comfy on his quilt. Hugs,
It certainly is cold Joy, and am surprised that you are by the fire!!! I remember you here in June one year, and was the only one not cold? When are you coming back?
Is Gingerbread block 5 and 6 blocked out?
Your fire does look cosy and both fur babies love it too.
Great to have your next block ready.
What a sweet face!
Loki makes a great model for the Acquilt pattern! Nice garden beginnings!
I do not miss winter at all. Summer has been trying to kick in here. We had some beautiful late spring days. Cozy by the first means it’s time to pull out that handwork. EnJOY.
no better place then on front of a fire on a cold day………septic is a good job done…………whats all the deep ripping for in front of the fence……….a new fence will be great………netting again or a solid fence?
goodluck putting the watermelon block together……..
A log fire makes such a difference… I love ours too…. great to have progress at the home and welcome back blogging…
Hugz
love your little pussy cat – the fire looks very inviting – but pretty useless to have one in Brisbane.
Have “fun” with the backyard. A necessary project.
Now that is one spoilt puss.
Thanks for stopping in for FNwF this month. I like the look of the fabric and am looking forward to seeing the block. xox
Glad to see you back! Can’t get over how much Loki has grown.
It’s certainly the weather for a cosy fire and a hot cuppa. Loki seems to be enjoying his pretty quilt. Cats always seem to be the most chilled creatures, don’t they?
Finally popping on the PC and wow, that work must have only just happened after we saw you. Pouring here again today & freezing cold. Is that a heat pack Loki is looking after(giggle). Just off for the next post catch up.
Loki is so fluffy! What a pretty kitty. Getting the septic in was a good step in the right direction but it certainly does look like it left quite the mess. It’ll be nice when things are right again in the yard.
