So I’m a bit behind everyone else in the world I am sure, because I have only just made a start on the Fat Quarter Shop’s Heartfelt Charity Quiltalong…
I mentioned on Monday that I got the lovely fat quarter bundle of Beautiful Day fabrics…. I mostly wanted it for the Mystery Quiltalong that Corey is hosting on her blog… but when I saw it was also used for the Heartfelt QAL I thought it was so pretty… so I decided I’d try to use it for that as well…
So this week I made a start on Heartfelt….
The first “block” is actually five of the same, with lots of flying geese…
I know a lot of people don’t like flying geese, but I don’t mind them. I am using Seams Sew Easy guide (affiliate link) by Lori Holt and it is making it so much quicker… instead of having to draw lines on the back of squares, I can just line it up and sew…
After the flying geese came the hearts…
Put them all together…
Aren’t they pretty?
Now I need to make a start on the Mystery Quilt… 🙂 Good thing tomorrow night is FNSI! Guess what I’ll be working on!
Hope you’re having a lovely, stitchy week!
They are very pretty. Going to be a beautiful quilt. Hugs,
They are pretty! Such beautiful fabrics.
Those are very pretty, a great way to use that beautiful fabric…
Hugz
I don’t think I’ve seen hearts in the center of those blocks before. They’re looking really good!
That is such a pretty set of blocks! Nice work!
They are really lovely heart-based stars and well done so far. Take care and hugs.
