It was a busy day today… so this will be a short one… but I did have a pretty good week…
Today I took a road trip to my nearest Bernina dealer, about an hour and a half away. I had to go for two reasons.. first of all Nina desperately needed a service, so I dropped her off and will get her back next month sometime…
Secondly, I need a hemming foot…. which they had in stock, thankfully:
Oh yeah, that GO! Die somehow ended up coming home with me……………!
The ladies at Heights Sewing Centre were really friendly and helpful. One of the ladies gave me some overclocking tips and the other was definitely a kindred spirit who, like me, takes her sewing machine camping with her!
They had a great selection of Go! Dies, so I dare say when I go back to pick Nina up, another one or two might come home with me, ahem….. only ones I NEED of course!
I’ve also been making some pouches for a friend who looks after baby kangaroos (joeys) who have lost their mums. The pouches look like this:
I got a nice little pile done for her.. Will be doing more of them this week. They are quick and easy to make and will help her a lot since it is harder to get them dry in the winter after washing them.
Monday Menu Plan:
I’m hoping to get more time in the sewing room this week, so will be using up some freezer meals…
Monday – Pork Roast
Tuesday – Silverside
Wednesday – Leftovers
Thursday – Meatballs (from freezer) with homemade tomato sauce
Friday – Fish Casserole from Freezer
Saturday – Chicken Chasseur from Freezer
Sunday – Leftovers
Well that is it for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with my To Do Tuesday!

You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

I think that die was made for you! The pouches are gorgeous–nice job!
Joey pouches – how wonderful! Too bad there’s a need for them though.
How lovely to be making those joey pouches…

Lovely Joey pouches Joy. I can’t imagine how that cute die just had to find it’s way home! 😉. Tried linking up but Mr. Linky won’t allow me to.

Glad to see those Joey pouches & I could make some too if you’d give me pattern for them. Good to have some freezer meals to make time for more sewing. Hope Nina doesn’t take too long to be serviced. Take care and hugs.
Sad there is a need for Joey pouches.
I’ve got to ask what is Silverside? A fish?
