Last week’s To do’s, and a new list for this week ….
Last Week’s To Do’s
I forgot to post about FNSI yesterday, but I did manage to join in on Friday night and do a little bit.. see the heartfelt blocks below!
In the Kitchen
Organize my spices – For some reason it was survival week in the kitchen last week, so didn’t get this done.
In the Sewing Room
Got a little bit done in the sewing room….
Chicken Salad Sewalong – Hank – done and ready to applique!
Now this is how you can see that it is my quilt and not everyone else’s with the kit – Mr Hank is facing the other way than all the other Hanks 🙂 Because I am doing raw edge applique I have needed to reverse the templates when they didn’t need reversing…and vice versa… if you’re doing the blocks you might know what I mean! In any case, I messed up with Hank.. but that’s ok, he can keep an eye on the other chookies in my quilt!
Kitchen SAL – Strawberry Jam – Nope
Heartfelt – Buttercup Blocks (affiliate link)- Worked on them for FNSI, but didn’t finish
Beautiful Day Mystery – Block 2 – Rosy Wonder – Nope
Chooky’s Churn Dash SAL – six blocks – decided to chain sew a whole bunch so didn’t get any actual finished blocks, but will by next week:
Great Granny Squaralong – two blocks – Nope
Bind tumbler quilt – half way done!
This Week’s To Do’s
In the Kitchen
Organize my spices
In the Sewing Room
So although I only crossed one chook block off my list, I did actually make some progress on the other blocks. Hopefully this week I can finish most of them!

Kitchen SAL – Strawberry Jam
Heartfelt – Finish Buttercup Blocks (affiliate link)
Beautiful Day Mystery – Block 2 – Rosy Wonder
Chooky’s Churn Dash SAL – twleve blocks
Great Granny Squaralong – two blocks
Bind tumbler quilt
In the Home and Garden
Zone 3 – Master Bedroom ~ 10 min a day (keeping this going for another week because it needs the extra time!)
Still nothing in the garden……
I’m linking up with Linda’s To Do Tuesday

Your churn dash blocks look great, I have finished mine tonight, next challenge to lay them out and decide on sashes etc. A job on my to do list this week is to do some housecleaning, as I am expecting visitors next week!! Yahoo!
I love your rooster. Cutest Thing!
I love chain piecing my blocks together!! So much quicker IMHO!! Have a good week, Joy.
Hank looks as though he’s in charge! My to-do list is simple (not that I ever make one) – work on my newest landscape.
I always get confused when making applique….. Sometimes it’s right sometimes wrong……
Goodluck with the churns….I had done some piercing also and not got then finished but they are close……… Goodluck
Very nice Harry block–it’s a good thing he is keeping his eyes on the other side of the quilt! lol
You’re not doing bad as we all get caught up in other bits’n’bobs and this cold weather is really getting to me. At least it’s been sunny today, but still bitingly cold. Take care & hugs.
PS: Love Hank.
Whether that rooster is coming or going he’s darling, Ohhhh I’m a big fan of Churn Dashes. Hope you get bunches of them finished this week.
You’ve got a lot of great progress this week! have a great week.
I like to chain the churn dash blocks too…… where does our time disappear to?
Hugz
Hi Joy! What is the fabric you are using for Heartfelt? I especially love that striped fabric. Your churn dashes look so pretty all lined up. I bet Mr Hank enjoys looking at everyone else. 😉
Thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!
