Welcome to Day 1 of the “See Ya later, Alligator” Blog hop hosted by Carla from Creatin In The Sticks!
Our Challenge…
Our challenge for this blog hop was to:
Create something to do with TRAVEL.
Anything from places to go, to how you get there, and anything in between.
Maybe even an alligator?
You decide!
This blog hop was perfect timing for me… because I am going on a trip in October…. one that requires a passport! So, I thought it was the perfect time for an updated passport wallet.
I have made passport wallets before, but one thing I always have trouble with at the airport is having a pen to fill in the customs forms…
So it was time for an updated design – one that holds a pen and other stuff like the itinerary and/or boarding pass.
It didn’t take long to come up with a nice compact passport wallet:
With space for passport, itinerary and pen!
(and is it just me, but does that ricrac remind you just slightly of alligator teeth???)
In case you want to make one jut like that, you can get the pattern here in my Etsy shop.
Thanks Carla for a fun hop, and thank you all for dropping by! Make sure you visit the others who are sharing today:

Oh, and since it is Monday – this was my This and That for this week! Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!
The last few times we’ve travelled they didn’t have us do the customs form on paper. It’s still nice to know where at least one pen is while traveling.
a fun project interesting to see what others chose too…….
While I a pretty much a domestic traveller, i like your idea for holding groups of useful items in the glove compartment. Registration, insurance, safety inspection, and a paper map. Those sorts of items that often get caught up in whatever gets dumped in that spot during a season.
Great passport holder! I love the idea of it holding more than just a passport. Thanks for sharing!
Such a clever idea! I wouldn’t have thought about a passport holder, but that’s very handy when it comes to international travel. Thanks for sharing!
Most definitely Gator teeth. This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Great idea and I can never find a pen when I need it. Have a wonderful trip in October, where ever your passport is taking you!
My this and that right now is to find a Thanksgiving pattern for a curtain to fit my granddaughter’s kitchen door window.
That is a great idea to keep all the necessary in one place and easy to find.
What a cute holder! How exciting that you’ll get to use it soon. And yes it does look like alligator teeth. 🙂
Cute passport holder. Mine expired a while ago and right now, I have no desire to get another one!! LOL I do like the “alligator teeth!!”
Perfect and so useful, too. I think having everything in it’s place is a great idea. Excellent.
Such a brilliant idea. Thank you for the pattern. I can think of tons of uses for this even if not traveling abroad. Thank you for joining us in the See Ya Later, Alligator blog hop!
Great idea of a passport wallet! Thanks so much for sharing.
What a great idea and beautiful execution! And yes, the ricrac does resemble alligator teeth!
Definitely alligator teeth! Cute and useful project.
Yes I see the teeth. I also see the pairs of eyes peeping out all over the pond. LOL Great project.
Great passport wallet. I really like that you added a spot for a pen. Wonderful design.
Pretty and practical.
What a fun idea for a passport holder and having alligator teeth is perfect for it! Thanks for sharing!
The passport wallet is PERFECT for travelling!
Really cute travel wallet. I can see where one would come in really handy.
Joy that little toothy passport holder is perfect! I forgot what a pain it was at the border until we went to see DH’s sister in law. I definitely need to make one of these before we travel there again. Thank you for sharing a great pattern.
Very nice and a great idea. Talk soon. Take care and hugs.
Nice cover for your passport. I don’t travel and have never had a passport, but my son’s caregiver is getting to go to Africa in November and this would be a nice gift for her.
What a great idea! My passport has expired, and I meant to apply for a new one this summer, but time got away from me. Hope that you’ll have a wonderful adventure when you travel!
Great idea, where are you off in October. we travel next month .. woohoo…
Hugz
That’s a great travel wallet and exciting that you’ll get to use it in October.
Your post just reminded me that I had to call the passport office to check on the kids passport application status. it’s been over two months since we did the renewal.
Alas our days of traveling out of the country are at an end. The best we’ll be able to do is maybe fly out to see our family and even that will depend on DH’s sciatic issues. Nice passport wallet though – just wish I had need of one!
Beautiful and practical; the best of all worlds!
Great holder, love the addition for a pen. And now that you say it, I do see alligator teeth!
