Materials Needed for the Christmas Mystery Quiltalong
I will be turning this into a small wall hanging, so I have chosen a feature fabric and will just be putting a simple border around it, plus a bit of ricrac:
You will need:
12″ square of background fabric
Christmas feature fabric
Matching ricrac
Matching embroidery threads
The fabric I am using is Lori Holt’s Cozy Christmas Navy Main Yardage.
The ricrac is Riley Red Large Vintage Trim
I pulled a bunch of assorted DMC threads that I think I will use… you can click on the photo to enlarge it.
This week I’ll be using these threads:
DMC 930
DMC 349
and
DMC 3346
Let’s Get Started!
This week we’ll be stitching the outline and some holly!
Print out the pattern below, trace the design on your chosen background fabric, pick your thread colors and start stitching!
Each week we’ll be adding a bit to the design….
Happy Stitching!
Thank you for this, I look forward to stitching this.
Oh, how much fun! TWO mysteries to sew/stitch! You are working overtime. Thank you so much for all you do!
Thanks so much for this new stitch along; you generosity and kindness is appreciated! Thanks also for telling us which color of threads you are using each week. Knowing this information gives me a bit more confidence that I’m choosing colors that will work for the whole project.
Ooh! A Christmas one too! How exciting and beautiful!
This looks like so much fun! I can cross stitch but I don’t know how to embroider. Can you tell me what stitch to use so I can look it up?
Another fun stitch-a-long Joy. I don’t know how you find time to create these for us….thank you!
