Welcome to the first day of the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange hosted by the lovely Carol from Just Let Me Quilt! And it’s also Monday This and That!
I can’t believe it is December already!! This year has just gone by so quickly… and here we are, almost ready to start our Christmas baking! And that is why this is such a fun blog hop – because there will be lots of yummy recipes shared this week for us to try!
My contribution this year is all about Gingerbread…
Confession – I don’t like Gingerbread……
But I love making Gingerbread Houses!
So over the years it has been a tradition to make Gingerbread Houses at Christmas time…
And sleighs…
So much fun!! And although I don’t like gingerbread, the icing is sooooooo yummy!!
The icing is basically egg whites and icing sugar, like this one here.
Of course many of you have been making Gingerbread Houses along with me this year:
… and thank you for patiently waiting for the finishing instructions which I am hoping to get posted this week….
But in the meantime, I have a sale in our shops for 50% off everything till the end of the year!!!! So if you missed some Gingerbread Houses, you can get them for half price!
And since it is Christmas I have some gifts for you….
First up… December Planning Pages gingerbread cookie themed of course… (click on the pic to download)
And some matching gift tags (click on the picture to download):
These calendar pages and gift tags match these planning pages, new in our shop:
And I think that is enough gingerbread goodness for this post…

You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!
Adorable gingerbread houses! I love looking at gingerbread houses and have thought a time or two of making one, but then sanity prevailed and I have never made one.
Such fun gingerbread houses. Both the ones to eat and stitch!
Your gingerbread houses (the real ones AND the stitched ones) are adorable! I would eat the real ones for you, because I love gingerbread. 😉 Thank you for the freebies!
All of your gingerbread houses are cute. I have never ever made a real one, but they sure are fun to look at! Thank you for sharing them, Happy Holidays
I had fun making or decorating Gingerbread Houses with my kids when they were young. Yours are so pretty.
Your gingerbread products are awesome! I usually watch the grands make theirs from kits. 🙂 Love seeing yours.
It takes ‘patience’ to make gingerbread houses so I am much impressed. Thank you for sharing how gorgeous they are. I love handwork so must check out your sale.
So much fun work goes into making gingerbread houses. Love them, they are gorgeous.
My family has a tradition of getting together to make gingerbread houses. I don’t think any of them look as fabulous as yours, though. The frosting totally makes them look amazing and yummy! Those are sweet looking gingerbread house blocks you’ve created. Wow! Thank you for sharing your Christmas goodies with us, Joy!
Your gingerbread houses are adorable. Thanks so much for the gift tags!
Joy your post is filled with so much Christmas joy. Love your gingerbread houses (and sleigh) and the planning pages and tags are just so much fun!
I don’t like the taste, either, but that just means I eat less sugar! Yum, Toblerone, but I can’t have it now. =P Your houses and sleighs are so cute, and your experience shows in making them. Thanks for the tags and planning pages. Always such cute things!
Like you, I’m not a huge fan of gingerbread, but the houses are so darn cute! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness I love all your gingerbread creations! And thank you for the tags and pages!
Decorating gingerbread with the little ones is always such a thrill. Hank you for sharing your creations.
I like gingerbread, but haven’t ever made a house! I don’t think there would be enough icing left for the house if it was left to me. LOL
Gingerbread houses and sleighs are a wonderful family project and we really need to do that here in the sticks. Thank you for the gifts. They are wonderfully gingerbready!
Merry Christmas! Your gingerbread houses look amazing. I haven’t ever made one; not sure how they’d do in our heat & humidity. (Yes, even in December! It was in the 80’s today.)
Beautiful gingerbread creations! I love gingerbread AND the frosting! lol
You’ve done a great job on these!
Cute–I’ve never seen gingerbread sleighs before!!! Love your embroidery, too!!!
Cute gingerbread houses, we just bought a village kit at walmart today but we always tell the kids not to eat them, it does say Made in Canada, but we’ve seen some made in China and I wouldn’t trust that, even a kit like this I don’t trust, who knows how long it’s been in that box and what preservatives are in them!?
I’m with you in not being much in love with gingerbread…much prefer the fabric versions. My kids, I guess, were lacking something because I never made any gingerbread houses with them.
Thank you for the wonderful (and cute!) planning pages!
All wonderful projects. I love gingerbread houses too.
