Last night was the first FNSI for the year! And I remembered to join in, amazing!
I got the first part of the Winter SAL done:
And I finally started working on the binding of the tumbler quilt:
I’m sewing it on by machine, using this method…
I am just over half way, so should have it done tomorrow. Just as well, because I need it to replace the one I cut up 🙂
Thank you Wendy for hosting this again for us this year! Go here to see what everyone else was up to!
Your tumbler quilt looks cozy. I started to put my Winter piece in the frame last night and Hubs said let’s watch The Black Mirror, so I didn’t get started yet. I’m debating between some variegated threads and hope to get going on it tonight. Enjoy your weekend!
Well done. It was still quite warm last night, so I didn’t do much except sort through some fabric & tidy it. There’s a small quilt show on today at Leongatha, so we may pop down for a short drive. Have a great Sunday, take care and hugs.
Lovely tumbler quilt there under the machine…

Lovely tumbler quilt Joy.
Looking forward to seeing the finished tumbler project. I always struggle with machine stitching binding so will have to check out that link.
Oh, I’m so out of touch with what’s happening in Blogland.
You looked very productive… well done xx
Fun! I will have to get started on a hand-stitching project so I can join in. I know it could be machine, but I’ve always done hand for FNSI.
Your winter SAL looks intriguing!
You had a lovely productive Friday night Joy. I hope you got the binding finished, as planned. I haven’t started my Winter stitchery yet – I need to trace it off so I can pick it up when I have a lull in my evening stitching time!
I printed out the pattern and copied it to linen so I will start it tonight! The new quilt is clost to a snuggle!
