What we are adding this week
As you can see from the picture above, we are adding some mittens…
When I was a child I had mittens – they could clip on to my jacket so that I didn’t lose them. I always wanted gloves though… because I thought they were cool and grownup 🙂 Of course when I got older and wore gloves, I often thought back to the mittens I used to wear – they were a lot warmer than gloves!!
I’ll be using these threads:
DMC 597 for the mittens and string
DMC 3706 for the cuffs
and
DMC 743 for the stars
“HOW TO” FOR THE NEXT STEP IN THE STITCHALONG
Download the updated pattern below, print it out, and add to your stitchery by tracing the mittens… and then start stitching!
Thank you for joining in on this SAL with me! Sometime next month we’ll be starting Spring!
A perfect ending! Nice piece of needlework!
Mittens – perfect!! I remember as a kid my mother tying yarn to my mittens which she fed up through the sleeve, across the back and down the other sleeve. Now that would be unheard of because of the possibility of strangulation. When our boys were little I used mattress clips (the ones that you can use to keep your bottom sheet on the bed).
Wonderful finishing design. Thanks for this whole stitchery.
Thank you for such a sweet SAL. I think my favorites are the winter bough and the steam on the cocoa. I still haven’t started, but I intend to!
I really appreciate you sharing your winter designs. They will make great fabric cards for whatever occasion. Thank-you
This has been such a fun SAL, Looking forward to Spring.
Thank you for sharing a lovely winter stitch along. Love all the choices.
