a bit of This and That (on a Tuesday Morning)!
Last Week’s This and That
Since last Monday was the Little Green Apple Blog Hop, I have two weeks of this and that to share….
Mostly while I was at work, the new windows were going in:
Everywhere was a mess!!
They were still at it in the afternoons when I got home, and it sure was noisy!
They finished up the inside on Friday and we had a big cleanup…
Now I need to save up for blinds or curtains, but we are so happy with the new windows… we can actually open them up!! A novelty!! The old ones were so old that they wouldn’t stay open or we were afraid they’d collapse if we tried… now we can let the breeze in, it’s lovely.
DD’s unit is making progress:
Since I took that photo, the plumber has been and dug up the area on the right to connect to the septic… good thing we decided to wait with putting the garden beds in!
I was also sick for four days, so that threw a spanner in the works….
Other than sewing the Little Green Apple block, I didn’t get much time in the sewing room. I did however take the time to open the Calico Garden Sewalong kit…
I took more photos, but this was the whole lot together… so pretty!
This Week’s This and That
Work… work… and maybe some sewing????????
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

Joy all of your new windows look lovely. It is a good thing you delayed the garden beds. Your SAL kit looks lovely!
Glad the windows are done & hopefully we’ll see them some time in the near future. Look forward to seeing the sewalong progress. Take care and hugs.
You are going to love those new windows. I remember when we got the new ones at our previous house and they were such a joy and so much easier to clean too.
Those fabrics look so pretty together.
Hi Joy! Love the new windows! They look a lot like the ones we had installed a couple years ago – we love them. Sorry to hear you have been ill. Looks like a lot going on in your world. 🙂
Oh, you are going to enjoy those new windows so much! I love to let a cool spring breeze in when it’s not too hot! Sorry you haven’t felt well, but hopefully you are getting better! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings.
Windows look great, but I’m jealous. =) Mine work perfectly, but I don’t have enough on the back to get a cross breeze. I have two doors, but both need screens. Your daughter must be happy to see progress. The fabrics in your new bunch are just my kind, too. =)
