Welcome to Day 4 of the Say What? Sew It & Show It Challenge hosted by the lovely Joan from Moosestash Quilting! My offering for today is a quilted crochet bag with a fun saying on the front…
The Challenge
The challenge title was “Say What?” and as Joan says, us quilting bloggers always have something to say… so the challenge was to share a project and tell a story with it… or have a project with a saying in it… or something like that!
I did have to think about this a fair bit until I decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to share a quilted bag I made for my crochet….
The Quilted Crochet Bag
We’ve had some lovely Spring…. er… Autumn weather and I thought I’d take the main photo of my bag on the little pear tree whose leaves are changing color before they drop off….
The middle picture with words is from a panel.. and because it is quirky, I decided to sew it into the bag a bit wonky…
Now I am not a painter, but I do like to look at the bright side of life… my world is full of rainbows, flowers and sunshine… even if that isn’t actually the case…. so that’s why I liked that little panel!
The inside of the bag is custom made for my crochet needs:
And it is big enough to carry a variety of projects, including my latest addiction – making wrist warmers:
So there you have it… my quilted bag for my crochet projects… now go and check out what everyone else has made! The whole list can be found here, and the other bloggers who are posting today are:
Thank you Joan for organizing another fun challenge, and thank you all for coming and visiting today!
Your bag is so pretty! I think “wonkifying” the panel was a great idea.
Sew cute!
I love your little sunshine and rainbows girl. She made up into the cutest little bag for you. Those custom pockets are a great way to keep things organized.
Love your bag! What is the name of that panel, please.
Lovely bag, I love it!
What a great bag for your crochet projects! I love the pockets for your supplies. The picture of the artist on the front of your bag is so cute! She looks perfect framed with the multiple borders.
Your bag is adorable and I love the little additions you made for your crochet needs. I crochet too, but my projects are usually stuffed in a bag with the hook swimming around the bottom…if I am lucky! LOL
Your crochet bag is the best. Love how you customized it inside and out. It is wonderfully perfect for this wordy hop.
I love quirky things and your bag fits right in to that category. I love the panel on the front and how you added features to make it your own. So cute!
Great customization. Your bag is priceless given how it’s handmade and perfect for all your needs. Thanks so much for sharing so many great ideas.

Joy I LOVE your bag, and it is perfect for your crochet stuff! I am crazy about that little panel gal in the middle. 🙂
A bag with built-in scissor, hook, and needle pockets?! Brilliant idea. LOVE your happiness and rainbow outlook on life! Yet another thing we have in common (besides quilting and our name.)
Lovely bag joy……
