a bit of This and That
Last Week’s This and That
I thought last week was going to be quiet… haha!! Didn’t quite happen!
I actually spent a lot of time in the studio – not sewing, unfortunately, but tidying it up because the sewing machine fixit man was coming to look at Emmi G and my industrial Juki…
I should have taken before photos, because there was no clear space there at the beginning of the week! It had become a dumping ground for stuff that had to go out of the house for when the windows were going in.
Having the fixit man come was good motivation to get it all back into the house and out of the studio!
I did have to stack some things up against the inside door – that will all have to be moved this week so that we can open the door again!
Emmie G needed the bobbin winder fixed, and a part had gone missing from the tension thingo – which is why I was having trouble with the tension. So now she is fixed and ready to go again..
This is the Juki that needed some work…
He didn’t quite manage to get it going… more on that another day!
Now that the studio is relatively tidy, I am hoping I will really get some fun sewing in soon!
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

well it certainly looks tidy now – good job
What a tidy, well-stocked studio!!! So nice and bright, too!
A tidy space can rejuvenate one’s creative spirit in a fun way. Have a great week!
Nothing like a working longarm with a cleaned studio to get the quilting juices going again! you will put the room to good use soon!
I have a problem with tidy sewing spaces. I find it so hard to start sewing again because I know I’ll just make a huge mess. I can work in the mess but it reaches a certain point where I start setting things down and not being able to find them again, so I know it’s time to get out the backhoe.
Joy your studio looks incredible (and quite tidy, I might add). Glad Emmie G is happy again and you might get some fun time in. Thank you for hosting your link party. 😉
I am striving to keep my space tidy all the time. Yours looks great and you have so much storage! Mine turns to disarray as I work, but I do try to neat up as I go along!
Good to hear the big machine is up & ready to go. The space does look tidy and still envy all that room you have. When you get over here one day, you’ll laugh at my tidgy space. Take are & hugs.
All your cleaning and tidying is inspirational. I just spent a couple hours cleaning up one corner of the sewing area. Most of it is pretty tidy but there is one area that collects things that don’t really have another place to be. It feels good to have it tidy. NOW, I’m ready to get on with some fun sewing. I hope you get to do some fun sewing too.
