Time to share what I bought on my little holiday trip to Judy’s last month!
Fabric, Tins and Jelly Rolls!
Here’s a pic of my entire shopping.. minus the ruler and cutting mat which are in use somewhere…
Bali Pops “Jelly Roll”
I might as well go in order of shopping… this is what I bought at Max and Dawn’s shop:
I must confess that I have a wholesale account with the company that puts these “jelly rolls” out.. so I could have bought it cheaper.. but I do like to support local business and besides, it was quicker this way! Isn’t it pretty?!
A cute Moda Tin
I visited Hubbard’s Kaleidoscope in Bordertown, which is sadly closing down…
With all fabric (and other odds and ends) half price, I think I was quite well behaved and only bought this cute Moda tin:
This is the quilt the kit makes:
Pretty cute I think… and I like the tin… 🙂
Fabric, a Tin and a Jelly Roll
Last, but not least, I bought these goodies from Judy:
I couldn’t resist the layer cake – and I might add that I have already started making a project with it… can’t show you yet though.
Love the fat quarter pack and jelly roll… and the tin has little squares in it I think – but I bought it for the tin – what can I say, I love tins!!
I think I did pretty well.. it is my treat time of the year and I think that it’s probably the first actual quilt shop crawl I’ve been on this year! The rest of the fabric I’ve bought wholesale… but more on that another day because hubby is calling me to head off into the sunset with our glampervan…
Till next time,
You did very well, but I would like to warn you when buying bargains like that. You could eventually wind up with more fabric than you ever dreamed! My LQS used to have two sales each year and she always had a table of 75%off. A lot of the bolts had 6 or 7 yards left on them. I would ask the customers if any one wanted what I was having measured before I took it all but they didn’t want it (most of the time). I bought these especially because they were out of my comfort zone. I am a more “earthy” and “civil war” type. I learned so much from that mod podge of a collection and I think I have sewn up most of it. I have always bought quilt fabric on sale at least 50% off and haven’t bought hardly any fabric in the last 6 years and I am going to have to live to be 100 to get it all sewn up! Seriously! LOL
I love your new purchases! Such pretty fabric we will see soon in a project!
Nice shopping…. Very reserved……
And the other do at Horsham looks pretty too…….
Lucky you being able to get wholesale fabric. I just do not buy 16$ yd fabric even though its super cute or beautiful. I turn to my super stash that is half vintage now. It is very sad to see fabric stores close.
Retail therapy at its best! You got some really pretty fabrics and I, too, love those tins.
