A bit of this and that!
Last Week’s this and That
I wasn’t super productive last week because I was sick. But I did make a bit of progress around the house…
I finished all the hemming I had to do for Sarah…
That’s all the hemming for a while I think, now it is back to sewing calico inserts… I do like that it changes up between types of sewing, even doing some overlocking in amongst it all. We are gearing up for the Christmas market and pop up shop season – it’s not far away!
I decided to do a bit of re-arranging in the Studio – it is nearly warm enough for me to get back out there and sew…
The studio is far too full, so I got DH and DS to take two pine chests of drawers out – they will be donated because I don’t have enough space.
Then I started sorting some tubs.. including my ribbons:
The tubs I have them in are really not suitable because the lids have a hole in the top and I get creepy crawlies in them:
So I emptied out a bunch of them, found some more Tupperware in the house from when I was a consultant, and transferred all the ribbons:
No creepy crawlies will be getting into my modular mates!! And hopefully the ribbons will stay a lot more organized.
I was back at work this morning after a two week break. It was good to be back, and on the way home I did some grocery shopping. I thought I’d get a roast chook from Woolies, but their ovens had broken down. So I got some marinated honey/soy chicken sticks instead, which were delicious.. some fried potatoes and salads and we had a delicious simple meal:
This Week’s this and That
It’s a busy work week this week – I have to work every day, and I have dentist and doctors’ appointments.. so not really going to write a list.. just hope I get to the weekend with a bit of energy left to sew!
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

Nice job on helping with the assembly line stitching!!! I love a good cleaning out in the studio!
I am so sorry you felt under the weather last week, Joy. I hope that you are feeling better. It sounds like you were busy though. How nice that the days are warming up so you can spend more time in the quilt studio. . Have a wonderful week. Happy quilting.
I didn’t get anything accomplished this past week that I didn’t want! LOL But, that was by design! Sometimes you need a break. But really, hemming is a job in itself. Not my favorite thing to do. Great idea for storing your ribbons in Tupperware to keep the creepy crawlies out! Have a great week, Joy. Don’t work too hard.
