WELCOME TO THE SUMMER MYSTERY STITCHALONG WEEK 1 – A RELAXING, FUN STITCHALONG!
We’re finally up to “Summer” in our series of seasonal stitcheries! I know it isn’t actually summer here or in the northern hemisphere… but I’m not waiting till either of us are in the right season – we need to get this series done!
Proposed Schedule for the Summer Mystery Stitchalong
Week 1 – Today! – First Step
Week 2 – Friday 29th September – Second step
Week 3 – Friday 6th October -Third step
Week 4 – Friday 13th October – Fourth Step
Week 5 – Friday 20th October – Final Step
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THE Summer MYSTERY QUILTALONG
You will need:
12″ square of background fabric
Embroidery Threads

This week I’ll be using these threads:
DMC 562 for the word “Summer”
DMC 891 for the outline
“HOW TO” FOR THE First STEP IN THE STITCHALONG
Download the pattern below and print it out. Using a light box or window, trace the pattern on the fabric….. and then start stitching!

Thanks! You could go on designing these for every holiday and not a peep of protest from me! I’m looking forward to seeing the designs. We just finished summer – not as hot and humid as I’d been led to expect this year – but I’m willing to revisit it for stitching. If only I feel good enough to actually stitch!
I let myself get distracted a few months with XS before deciding that is NOT for me. Too slow, too picky – just not enough fun. Especially for old eyes. =) I need to get back to something I truly love and get some posts up on the stitching blog! I hope all is well with you.
