WELCOME TO THE SUMMER MYSTERY STITCHALONG WEEK 4 – A RELAXING, FUN STITCHALONG!
My issues with Vertigo did not permit me to do much this week, hence this post being a few days late…
Proposed Schedule for the Summer Mystery Stitchalong
Week 1 – Friday 22nd September – First Step
Week 2 – Friday 29th September – Second step
Week 3 – Friday 6th October -Third step
Week 4 – Today! – Fourth Step
Week 5 – Friday 20th 27th October – Final Step
Summer Mystery Stitchalong Straw Hat
I love straw hats… especially with a ribbon around it and some flowers… so that is what we are adding this week!
My vertigo didn’t allow me to do any stitching, so I’ve traced week 3 and 4 today and will be ready to stitch this week I hope!
This week I’ll be using these threads:
DMC 436 for the hat
DMC 3705 for the ribbon
DMC 743 for the spots on the ribbon
DMC 597 for the flower
and
DMC 743 for the center of the flower (just a colonial or french knot)
“HOW TO” FOR THE Fourth STEP IN THE STITCHALONG
Download the pattern below and print it out. Using a light box or window, trace and add the straw hat to your stitchery….. and then start stitching!
Happy Stitching!

Oh my! I hope that vertigo never comes back. It is so disabling. Your stitchery is going to look nice.
Gosh I had hoped (and I’m sure you did too!) that your vertigo had eased by now. You are a champ to keep on going like that.
A sun hat is a perfect addition. Really hope your vertigo rights itself and goes away for good.
