Just a bit of this and that!
Last Week’s This and That
It’s March!!! This means that here in Australia it is officially Autumn…..the last few days were much cooler which was lovely, but tomorrow Summer is going to be back in full force!
Fires are under control, but not out yet. The last one near us is being treated as “suspicious”… it’s so sad that some people feel the need to cause danger for others.
Sylvie is settling in very well.
I haven’t had time to do anything with yarn, but Sylvie has….
She thought she might help me crochet cat blankets… I told her they were for cats, not dogs, and now my lovely crochet basket can’t live next to my chair any more… sigh…
Look at that innocent face…… who me mum? Me doing something wrong mum???? Surely not!
I did do some sewing…
Making progress on the BOM for this year… hoping to start in two weeks!!
Chookshed Stitchers Challenge
I’m sad to say that I did NOTHING… ZIP… NADA… on last month’s challenge project for the Chookshed Stitcher’s Challenge… nothing other than find the project and bring it inside. I think there was just too much other stuff going on in my life last month.
I am going to keep the chook blocks inside and try to work on them a bit still… but this month we have #4 which is Chookie’s Churndash!
All the blocks are done for this, I just need to sew them all together. My plan was to set them on point, so I will need to cut more fabric for that…. hopefully I will get the top done this month!
This Week’s This and That
Busy week this week at work, and then I have some outside appointments on other days…. I have a little to-do list though:
In the Sewing Room
- finish piecing BOM blocks
- Find #4 of Chookshed Challenge
In the Kitchen
- clean out the fridges
- sort kitchen freezer
In the Garden
- keep up with watering
And that will do!
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… otherwise just link to any blog post on any topic and share it with us!

Happy Autumn! Sylvie is so cute even when she is being naughty! lol
Yes, how could that sweet face ever get in trouble? She was just reminding you that your crochet project needed attention.
You definitely have a lot of wonderful check marks on your Chooky Churndash. Putting the top together should go fairly fast. I participated in that challenge and finished mine, but had a panel I wanted to churn dash as well. As it turns out, it is also my #4. We will be churn dashing together to some degree. My goal is simply to cut it out. More could happen. You never know.
Sylvie is adorable. She has a face like my Chloe, who NEVER does anything wrong! LOL Nice Flying Geese blocks. Thanks for sharing with Monday Musings!
Hey you found your project that’s what I did too so that’s progress……..
