Just a bit of this and that!
Last Week’s This and That
Well, it’s been a very uneventful week.. which is fine by me! We are still in a heatwave, but no out-of-control fires, thank goodness!
I did a bit of crochet… a bit of sewing… and visited Liz’s brother to look at his veggie garden…

It’s an amazing backyard veggie garden, I took more photos and will share them another day. I wish I could have one like that!
He sent us home with corn, beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes… so we have some more canning planned for this week!
Last Week’s To-Dos
In the Sewing Room
- finish piecing BOM blocks – finished 4
- Find #4 of Chookshed Challenge – nope
In the Kitchen
clean out the fridgessort kitchen freezer
In the Garden
keep up with watering
This Week’s This and That
As you can see I didn’t get everything done last week so some will go back on the list this week….
In the Sewing Room
- finish piecing BOM blocks
- Find #4 of Chookshed Challenge
- Finish Give it a Whirl project
In the Kitchen
- make cucumber relish
In the Garden
- keep up with watering
That will do!

I’m glad you have been able to avoid the fires. More canning looks like a good job to do!
Mmm cucumber relish sounds wonderful. Enjoy your week; it sounds like it is going to be a busy one.
Looks like you made a good haul at the garden. You sound like me, wishing for a big veggie garden. I’ll have to content myself with tomatoes. En-“Joy” your week!
So glad the fire situation has calmed somewhat…hopefully it stays that way!
