There isn’t much else to tell you about my trip to Queensland… mission was accomplished, DD was nicely set up when I left….
Sapphy worked very hard as well to get everything ready for me to leave…
She made sure that she tested all the seating surfaces for safety..
including the dining chairs..
She also helped me pack my suitcase for the return flight…
And then she collapsed on her little couch in exhaustion…
I must say that, unlike Sapphy, I was quite rested after my four weeks up north! Not being able to do anything was hard, but my body needed a break for a while, and that is what I got…..
Funny thing, the time went sooooo SLOW while I was there! Usually I feel like I blink and the week has gone by – not so on this trip… I guess it was because I had no deadlines, no appointments, no nothing… it was amazing!
Now I am back at work…. and that is also a good thing. I missed my clients, and of course I missed being home with the rest of the family.
DD left a bunch of her stuff behind – it was too expensive to take it all, so I have been slowly sorting through all of that – most of it is being donated.
I have one beautiful piece of furniture from her that has gone in my studio and I can’t wait to show you when I have that set up!
I haven’t done any sewing…. my wrist still hurts. It hurts if I don’t use it, and it hurts if I do! It is still going to take a while till I am back to normal it seems.
It mostly hurts when I twist my wrist, so the movement needed to stitch or crochet is not an option for me yet. But I will get there!
At least I seem to be able to type a bit more and I am slowly getting through replying to emails…. now I need to go and catch up on blogs!!!
I am getting there!! Thanks for being patient with me and joining me on this crazy journey!
Curious to know – did Sapphy stay with your DD or come home with you? Good thing you had her along to test everything for comfort. Hopefully your wrist will soon heal fully so you can get back to the activities you enjoy.
Your Sappy sound a lot like my Shadow you can find him in the most unlikely place sometimes. I am sure you have exercises that you have to do ,and when they no longer hurt you will know ,yes it is good to use now..I hope it is not to much longer for you. Good luck.
Woohoo, I can get your blog up again on this system. Good to talk yesterday & hope the wrist slowly gets better. Catch up soon.
It is good to hear that your daughter is settling in.It is also wonderful to hear that you were able to get some rest and enjoy your time there. I wish you the best in the healing process; it takes time. Have a lovely week, Joy. Hugs
Glad you are home safe and hopefully well rested, even though you were helping your daughter move. Take care, and I hope the cast comes off soon.
Sapphy looks quite comfortable in her new home! I bet you will miss her. Glad you can get back to your routine and hope that your wrist feels better soon.
Good job done and best wishes for DD – hopefully you can get some fun visits every now and then….
