Here in Australia our mobile (cell) network is changing from 3G to 4G later this month… I had to buy a new phone, which was annoying because my old phone was still working fine… and since we live in the country, I have my doubts as to whether the new network will work… mostly my phone says it is relying on internet…
Which brings me to the last few weeks… the internet was down a lot because they are working on the NBN stuff in our area – supposedly they are upgrading things, and it will all work a lot quicker once they are done…. I’m looking forward to that!!
So that is why I have been quiet lately… the internet has been down a lot and my mobile phone data isn’t reliable, so I just gave up and waited for it to all settle down.. so far so good today!
DD decided to take Sylvie and go camping last week:
He can work from there, but I still had to work so couldn’t join him… and then I got sick, so that was that!!
Sylvie has him well trained – telling him when it is bedtime, and trying to get the pillow before he can:
Meanwhile, Loki is enjoying having me all to himself! He is on my lap as often as he can, so happy that he is not competing with Sylvie!
Totally relaxed…!!
Before I caught a bug, I was on a roll getting my studio organized. It has been quite a mess since DD left because I had to empty a room inside for her stuff, so everything got dumped out in the studio.
I took a few days off recuperating from whatever it was I caught, and then got stuck into it again. I have taken two car loads full of “stuff” to the op shop… and I have sorted a back seat full of fabric to give to a local craft group to make donation quilts.
I have been taking the time to go through ALL my tubs and drawers, sorting through things, putting things where they belong, and getting it all organized. I am nearly there and will take photos soon!!! I can’t wait to start sewing again…
My wrist is still sore by the end of the day, but I am used to that now, haha! It will be sore for a long time from what I have been told.
This is a bit of a boring post I’m sorry… but the next few days I have a treat for you! Lots of quilty goodness…
So stay tuned!!
Hope you are feeling better! I know how frustrating it is to be off the internet, we have come to rely on it so much!
Not boring at all Joy! I’m glad your wrist is better, or at least tolerable, but sorry to read you’ve been sick. Sounds like Loki and Sylvie have the best lives! 😀
Looks like a very pretty place to camp. I am so sorry you have been under the weather, Joy. I do hope that you are feeling better and your strength is building. I wish you a lovely week. Hugs.
We’ve been in much the same boat, with daughters needing space, so sewing areas are sacrificed. I’m also hoping to get back to my sewing room now that I have the space back and most of the canning is done. But today needs to be another cleaning day since that got kind of neglected. :l
Hope you feel much better – bummer to miss out on a camping trip. Wish I lived close then could come and do some cutting etc for you. Sounds like you are doing well with the sorting though….
Hugz
