Just a bit of this and that!
I feel like my life is finally getting back into a bit of a routine! I’ve started making some goals for the week ahead so I thought I’d start up Monday This & That again… it seems to help me keep on track…
I think I’m used to daylight savings now and I am itching to get out into the garden…. it’s almost time to start planting veggies!
Sylvie and Loki have been getting along quite well lately, with both of them on my lap some days:
It’s a bit hard to get a lot done with them there, but oh well!
As I said last week I’ve been working on the mess that was my studio:
So much just got dumped in there and it has taken so long to try to get any order…
I couldn’t get around Emmie G even, it was all piled up on and around her on both sides.
I spent weeks moving things around in the room:
…..often making things look worse than it was…. but slowly making progress…
I’ll share some more photos of my progress in the next post…
I also got some goodies in the mail from the wholesaler… wide back Lori Holt backing fabric:
Some pretty Lori Holt binders:
And finally (I ordered these over a year ago!) some of Lori’s pocket inserts that I use to organize all the pieces of my blocks:
So I have some goodies to play with!
This Week’s This and That
Here are my goals for this week:
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Do you have a recipe to share? Some sewing you’ve been doing? An update on your garden? Just a bit of show and tell? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… otherwise just link to any blog post on any topic and share it with us!

Your post gave me a lot of inspiration! I like your weekly list. I don’t guess I’ve seen it before. You made a lot of progress in your sewing room. I keep moving things around but can’t seem to get it visibly organized. I say that I am the most disorganized organized person I know!
Oh, my goodness, you have a fabulous sewing space! Nothing beats than a lap full of dogs for love and warmth.
So glad you are feeling better, you’ve accomplished quite a bit. Sylvie and Loki look like they are vying for the best position on your lap. 🙂 That Lori Holt backing fabric is adorable.
great progress on your studio! Enjoy your Spring weather!
I really like your planning sheet. Some really good categories and ways of thinking things through and getting them done.
Good luck to you on organizing. Wish I could get inspired to clean up my major mess that I started almost 3 years ago in 3 rooms when I moved stuff from G’s house to here. I’ve just added 2 trunk loads of fabric from a lady selling out her Mother’s stash.
For some reason I can’t post my link today. I’ll come back and try again later.
This time I got the linky to work and left a couple. Thank you for hosting.
So glad to see you are doing better, Joy. I think you are making good progress with your studio. It will be back to normal in no time. There’s nothing better than fur babies in your lap, IMHO!! Have fun playing this week. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings!
