As I said in the last post I have been organizing the sewing studio – moving things from one spot to the other and back again…
I’ve been sorting things into my spare Tupperware Modular Mates – I like them because they keep the creepy crawlies out…
See that middle shelf that is sagging quite a bit in the photo above? Well, it was full of fabric… so I cleared that off to sort, and had some sitting on the box there while I was sorting the other bookshelf…
I donated a LOT of fabric to a local quilt group that make charity quilts – they were soooo happy to get it and put some of it to use already, so I’m pleased that it is all going to a good cause.
I was quite excited because Dad came over and hung some things on the wall for me.
This little cupboard was from DD:
and looks so nice in this corner above a chest of drawers also from DD:
See the rulers all hung up neatly on the right?
I love having them all hanging there and off of the flat surfaces where they used to be!
Dad also hung these boards up for me from Ikea:
They’re just to the left of the corner chest of drawers and above other drawers also from DD:
I have some clips and other things to hang on there – I think it will come in handy!
I have started getting the space around Emmie G empty:
.. and feel like I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!
Tomorrow I have the day off from work, so I will keep working on it and hopefully be able to do some sewing on the weekend….! I’m pretty excited!
Stay tuned for the finished sewing studio photos!
Wow! You have really gotten things organized. I do like how you did that. Those clear containers really help keep things visible but organized. Thanks for the inspiration.
Those Modular Mates look really neat on your shelves. I love your shelf unit and drawers from your DD! Everything is looking great Joy!
It’s all coming together so nicely! Lately I have been thinking how I could redo my room, I have some of it pictured in my head and some I have no clue about yet, LOL.
Good frosty morning from Canada! That is really coming together nicely! I hope you aren’t overdoing it with your wrist. Looking forward to seeing it all done!
I’m with you in the reorganizing the sewing space, but not for the same reason. Apartment life means that periodically there’s an infestation of creepy – crawlies and they need to come and spray (luckily for us, we’ve never had any in our unit, because…well….yeeeewwww). Two days before we went away we had to remove everything from all our shelves and cupboards and pull the furniture away from the wall so they could do the spray and we simply didn’t have what it took to exhaust ourselves putting it back before we left. We decided that, with so much pulled out already, we would be heartless and ruthless and do a major downsizing while we were at it. My sewing room is the last space to get attention and I already know it will take me at least a week. Sure feels satisfying to get rid of excess ‘stuff’ though and putting my hands on everything means I’m reminded of what I have. I’m sure you feel the same!
You sure have made a lot of progress!!! Good work!
LOL, can I hire you?
Good job Joy, you can come and sort my space now, trying to clear STUFF!!!
Looking good and will have to try and come over to check it all out. (giggle). Take care & hugs.
It’s looking great…..
