Welcome back to “Monday This and That”!
To be honest, I’ve missed this weekly catchup post where I can put an assortment of things that have been happening in my life all in one post!
This year I am going to do something a bit different. I’ve been enjoying being part of Home Matters and showcasing other people’s blog posts, so I will be doing that from now on with Monday This and That too.
Random Happenings in the Last Weeks..
Playing Hooky with my Niece
One of my gorgeous nieces came down to visit last month and we played some hooky together!
She had made these lovely crocheted ornaments for my sister’s Christmas tree and had a class advertised on FB to teach how to make them. Since she lives in Far North Queensland I couldn’t go… instead I got to have a one-on-one class with her here!
I told her she needed to write up the pattern and put it on Ravelry… she might one day, and if she does I will be sure to link to it!
Summer
It’s been soooooo hot here… and I hate the heat. We’ve had quite some bushfires with many homes lost.. thankfully so far they haven’t been too close to us. But I feel for those who have been impacted, and also those overseas in LA – it’s been terrible to see the devastation. If you live in any of these areas affected my prayers are with you and I hope you are safe…
Excitement Plus!
Some exciting news…. DD is engaged!!
The wedding is going to be next Jan… so guess what? I’ll have to limit my fabric spending and use my stash – gotta save for the special day!!
Secret Sewing Projects

This Week’s This and That
My main goal this week is to get back into a routine that includes spending 10 minutes in each zone per week.
