Last Week’s This and That
Last week went by pretty quickly…. I did manage to get most of my to do list done, but more on that later…
It was another hot summer week here, have I told you already that I can’t wait for winter????
As mentioned in last week’s This and That, I’ve been working on two secret projects – one was with fabric sent to me from Fabric Wholesale Direct and I made this baby rag quilt:
I think it turned out really nice, and once it had been through the wash it was soft and snuggly. You can check out the tutorial to make one for yourself here.
Mum, Dad, and I went out for a High Tea yesterday at one of our local hotels… ooooh it was lovely!!!
I got the first of February’s Vintage Christmas QAL done! Thank goodness it was an easy one!! No unpicking needed…
My main goal last week was to get back into a routine that included spending 10 minutes in each zone per week…… Well, I didn’t quite make it into all my zones… Here is what I did manage to tick off my list:
This Week’s This and That
My main goal for this week is to keep the kitchen table free of clutter!!! Since I have my sewing nook right next to it at the moment, it is far too tempting to use the table for all my bits and pieces too… I cleared it up nicely yesterday and want to try to keep it clear this week:
Soon the weather will cool down (I hope) and I will be out sewing in my studio again.. while I like my little kitchen sewing nook, I will also be pleased to get it back to just being the dining area.

I miss going out for high tea because the place that used to offer it locally closed a number of years ago. I suppose I could do it for myself but it’s not the same is it.
