March ~ Mindfulness
I’ve never thought too much about mindfulness… though I have heard about it a lot.
What is Mindfulness?
According to Google AI it is:
a mental practice that involves focusing on the present moment without judgment. It can help you feel calm, reduce stress, and improve your sleep
I don’t know about you, but I can do with some more calm, less stress, and better sleep… so I will give this a go this month! I guess it is a bit like meditation… which I have done in the past with Bible verses… of course I do struggle with my mind wandering, so let’s see how I go with this!!
To do:
Practice mindfulness for at least 10 minutes every day.
Goal:
Enhance your presence and awareness, leading to greater joy in everyday moments.
Instructions:
Set aside 10 minutes each day to practice mindfulness. This could be through meditation, mindful breathing, or simply sitting quietly and observing your thoughts.
Reflection:
What changes have you noticed in your ability to stay present and experience joy since starting the mindfulness practice?

As I am writing this post, I am thinking that mindfulness could also mean being fully present during a certain activity. I don’t know about you, but I tend to multitask – even when I am stitching, sewing or crocheting I may be watching something or listening to music.
I think this month I will try to spend some time during these activities on only focusing on the one thing and allowing the pleasure of my stitching, crocheting or whatever it is I am doing to have my full attention.
What are your thoughts on this?
I agree that mindfulness is being completely present. I try for that in many areas of my life. Not always successful but I think trying is the main thing. It feels more aware to me.
Oh yes, don’t we all need to just chill sometimes? I also seem to multitask – well more skip from one thing to another all the time….. I like the idea of mindfullness is just spending time gently on one thing alone for a while…

I’m trying very hard to practice mindfulness if only to take my mind off the threat that is that terrible orange man who is eyeing Canada to add to his fiefdom. My degree of success isn’t doing well.
