April ~ Joyful Movement
Oh dear, this will certainly be a challenge for me this month!
By the way, I have not come up with these challenges – someone else did and gave me permission to share them with you… so I am finding out the new challenge each month, the same as you are!
Here are the key points:
To do:
Engage in physical activity that brings you joy every day.
Goal:
Boost your mood and energy through joyful movement.
Instructions:
Find a form of physical activity that you enjoy, such as dancing, yoga, walking, or any exercise that makes you happy, and do it daily.
Reflection:
How has incorporating joyful movement into your daily routine impacted your energy levels and sense of joy?

Well, I can see a major problem already – I am not a sporty or active person, and I can’t really think of physical activity that brings me joy – except perhaps ice skating – I used to love that!
No ice skating rinks around here….
The goal is good – to boost my mood and energy level – I could do with that!
Do you think quilting counts as an activity? I mean, I do walk from the sewing machine to the ironing board a few meters away….
You’re all going to have to help me out here… any suggestions? And what kind of physical activity brings you joy?
I do not find joy in movement easily so, here are ways that I do. I love my online yoga class…I don’t have to leave the house. I also love working out with my bestie. We facetime and do a program a trainer worked up for us. BUT one other piece of joy is putting on a song and dancing to it…simple and fun. Don’t do it enough and I am going to try to sneak in a few of these this month!
I’m not athletic at all either, but I do enjoy walking, especially in the woods behind our house. Since spring is trying really hard to make it’s appearance (but we keep getting snow or ice storms), I’m going to try to get out and walk at least four days a week. Not today – ice storm. 😐
