Summer arrived yesterday.
I mean, it had started to get hot, slowly… but yesterday someone flipped the switch and this morning it was 35C at 9am….
It really is time to leave and head for cooler climates…. but I have no tickets yet, so I have cranked up the air and am spending a bit of time in my sewing corner.
This is what is on my design wall today…
I find it inspires me to have it all hanging there for me to see – see my progress, and see what I still need to do. Do you find this too?
These micro minis are ready to quilt and then bind:
And I have traced and started Mermaids #3 and #4:
I accidentally started stitching Mermaid #4 first!
Oh well, doesn’t matter, does it? As long as I get them all done 🙂
I have three more days 🙂
I’d better get back to work…..
Winter has suddenly arrived here – a very chilly morning but it should warm up soon. You have an interesting design wall with plenty to keep you out of mischief… the micro minis are very cute – and micro! Yes I like having my projects out beckoning me too!
I started my mermaids, too! Slow going but I am doing it!
I love to hang wip’s and ideas on the design wall! It is inspiring!
Yes winter has arrived here sadly. I don’t wish to sit at the machine & sew as this old house is so draughty all you do is freeze. All i want is to curl up with either a book or handsewing under a blanket. 🙂 Love your projects. Hugs,xx
Ahh–#4 is at a stand still right now–been putting lots and lots of hours in on my hand quilting project in order to get it finished by the end of the month to met my goal over on OMG–still got a ways to go and then there is the binding to put on it–so know what I will be doing again tonight–(did spend about 2.5 hours on this afternoon–but needed to stop and feed this body so I would have the strength to keep working!!!!!)
enjoy, di
Yes it’s good to hang things up to look at, but not much hanging space in this room of mine. You can have your summer, I love the winter and the wood fire, even though I know it’s a bit hot for you!
Hi Joy ,lovely work my friend, cant wait to give you a big hug,see you soon xx
Getting closer & closer now & I’ve so much to tell you. Not quite as cold here as a couple of days ago, when we arrived back from Sydney, but sure is windy today. Just started Bubs up again yesterday yo get cracking with a quilt that’s been sat there for about 2/3 weeks. 2 rows to do now & ooh, I’ve got a secret, that I can’t blog about till July!!!! Design walls are definitely inspirational & love my newer, larger one. Take care, safe travels & see you soon.
Summer has arrived here also with stifling humidity. I can’t stand to be out for very long at all. I don’t have a design wall but once I am started on a project it is easier to work at it. Aren’t we thankful for air conditioners!! I feel sorry people that don’t have them in this kind of weather. In the high 80’s and feeling like 98! Nancy
Such pretty work. I love the sweet mermaids. x
Yes when it is 35 at 9am out a its not going to be a good day……,..
Love having things on the design board…..,. Does help to stay motivated……..
Hope you can get the tickets soon………
8 deg temp drop here today…… Chilly……
I like to have my design wall with every WIP on it, so fatisfying to see the progress 😉 Love your mermaid, even if it’s the 4th!!
So the land down under is all ready and waiting for you… lovely sewing… I agree having projects up on a design area is wonderful… pretty and motivating…
Hugz
You’ll definitely feel the difference in temperature when you arrive down under…
Great progress with all your progress…. maybe I need to have a design wall to keep me motivated , seam to go from one project to another.
summer has arrived here too! it’s 20 degrees. We’re all melting!
Are you in Saudi at the minute? I’ve lost track…
